Who we are

The Global Theory Forum (GTF) is a London-based, student-led group. Our convenors are PhD students and Early Career Researchers at Birkbeck College, the London School of Economics and Political Science, Queen Mary, University of London, and King’s College London.

We have successfully hosted monthly working groups, a book workshop in March 2025, and a Spring Symposium in April 2025. As of late, we have also hosted a two-day workshop in collaboration with the Journal of International Political Theory.

We have three aims:

  1. Theoretical: Provide a space for conversation and development of theoretical approaches to the study of politics.

  2. Social: Foster connections between junior scholars and senior academics, building networks within and across the London research community. 

  3. Practical: Offer workshops and masterclasses focused on career and professional skills.
